Practicing the art of dental medicine.

Work the Networks

One of the big decisions and changes that will most effect the office is going digital.  I have been a mac user since my days in the recording studios of CIM.  However, the strongest software for dental management is PC only.  What's more, I love the clean uncluttered look without a big computer tower crowding my counter-space.  The question is, can I really, truly use a mac as if it were a pc?  Can I connect them to a server just like I would a dell?

If I'm going to make this work, I'm going to do it before I make a huge investment in hardware.  So I'm thinking about running parallels on both my laptop, and my sister-in-law's iMac, and using them in the office before I invest the money in brand new computers.  This way, we know that everything will work when I get them out of the boxes.
